How To Use Coloured Glass Splashbacks To Create Ambience In Your Kitchen

Just recently a good deal of the UK was covered with ice and snow, and this made for some interesting meteorological images. The ice resulted in much of the country glowing an iridescent blue, and if you've looked out of your window recently and seen snow then you'll have been aware of just how bright and fresh everything looks.

Surfaces such as snow and ice have a striking effect on light, and the way it is reflected and refracted, giving an unmistakable glow to the whole environment that seems to have an effect on the way everything looks and feels. What does this have to do with coloured glass splashbacks?

Because glass splashbacks and glass kitchen worktops have a very similar effect, reflecting and refracting light in a way which imbues the whole kitchen with a certain ambience which affects both the way the room and everything in it looks, as well as how you feel when you're in the space.

Just as snow creates a bright white, fresh, clean feel, so too do white glass splashbacks in the kitchen. If you want your kitchen to feel bigger, more spacious, more airy and cleaner then white coloured glass splashbacks are an ideal way of doing this, and blue splashbacks can have a similar effect to all that ice, creating a cool, fresh feel that makes the whole room feel fresh and clean.
